History of Legal Experience

• After passing the Minnesota state bar exam in 1982 Stan Zahorsky was invited to enter into a partnership with Michael J. Burns, an attorney of twenty years, in which he primarily practiced in the areas of criminal defense, family law, and business law.
• After four years as a partner in Burns and Zahorsky, Mr. Zahorsky's practice evolved further into a personal injury trial practice with his practice continuing in the areas of family law, business law, and bankruptcy.
• In 1987 Mr. Burns retired from law practice, and Mr. Zahorsky continued the practice as Zahorsky Law Firm in which he and his associate attorneys continued a trial practice, primarily in the areas of personal injury, business law, social security disability, and family law.
• During the mid-1990's the focus of Mr. Zahorsky's practice further changed as more clients retained him for representation in legal issues related to business.
• Currently, Mr. Zahorsky's practice is primarily focused in the areas of business litigation and business advice, although he continues to represent clients in the areas of personal injury and social security disability.  Additionally, he represents individuals whose constitutional right to religious freedom may have been violated.

Personal Background

• Stan was raised on a farm in northwest Oklahoma, the youngest of nine children.  As a boy he was responsible for the daily operation of the family farming enterprise, since his father was disabled and his siblings were older and away from the farm by the time he was ten years of age.  At thirteen he was earning money for the family and working away from home for the summers, and by the time he was fifteen he was traveling during the summers throughout the central plains States (Texas up to Montana and the Dakotas) supervising a crew of farm equipment operators and truck drivers.
• In both high school and college Stan participated in sports.  He played basketball, baseball, and soccer.  Today, he continues to coach youth basketball and soccer for his daughters' teams.  He sails on the Great Lakes and other blue water sailing areas, and he hikes and canoes in wilderness areas.
• Stan attended college in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, and after graduation moved to Kansas City, Missouri where he completed the course work for his Masters of Religious Education.  After completing his Master's course work, he moved to Minneapolis, Minnesota where he attended law school and where he continues to reside.  Currently, he lives in Edina, Minnesota, a suburb of Minneapolis.
• He is married to a lovely and wonderful wife and has three delightful daughters.

• Frequent speaker on different areas of the law and the criteria for selecting a lawyer for legal advice and representation.
