History and Philosophy
History
- Zahorsky Law Firm was formed in 1987 from the predecessor law
partnership, Burns and Zahorsky, which ceased upon the retirement of senior partner, Michael J. Burns.
Philosophy
- Since its inception, the purpose of Zahorsky Law Firm has been to
provide quality legal advice and representation to clients in a manner that
allows them to make informed decisions and to give them control
of their legal issues.
- The underlying assumption at Zahorsky Law Firm is that a client needs
legal advice that is accurate, concise, straight-forward, and practical,
regardless of whether this is the client's first time involvement with legal
problems and the legal system, or whether the client is a sophisticated
business person who may be nearly as knowledgeable about the law and the legal system
as the lawyer is.
- At Zahorsky Law Firm we recognize that clients have limited resources,
and litigation can quickly deplete those valuable resources. Further,
litigation is both time and energy consuming. Consequently, it is the goal
of Zahorsky Law Firm to pursue the most effective solutions for the client
which may or may not be litigation. In certain situations litigation
is the best or only solution, and in other situations the client must be
presented with alternative resolutions which will more economically and
efficiently meet the client's objectives.
- When litigation is the best solution, the goal of Zahorsky Law Firm is
to aggressively pursue the client's legal rights in a manner that is
thorough, to develop a sound and winning legal basis through all viable
means, to gather all facts that will help win the case, to favorably
present the facts and law, and to accomplish the client's objectives.
- Another goal of Zahorsky Law Firm is to communicate with clients,
adverse parties and their attorneys, judges, and witnesses in a manner that
is forthright, fair, honorable, and resolute, and in the most favorable light, to generate a resolution
or verdict that will best accomplish the client's objectives.
